CK Nakhwal
I build things for the web. Then I figure out how to make them better.
I specialize in web development, creating high-performance digital experiences and the scalable systems behind them.
Engineering
& Digital Experience
I like knowing how things work. The visible interface is only one part of a digital experience. I am just as interested in what happens underneath the surface.
My work spans websites, content platforms, marketing technology, APIs, analytics and automation. The common thread is a curiosity about how data flows, why a system behaves the way it does and how different platforms integrate to solve real problems.
I do not just chase technology because it is new. I investigate problems, understand where a tool fits and focus on technical details, performance and maintainability.

Exploring
Selected Work
Scaling High-Traffic Frontend Systems
Built and improved frontend systems and asset pipelines supporting millions of monthly views, while improving rendering performance by 40%.
Automating Marketing Operations
Architected custom workflow pipelines and API integrations that replaced a recurring manual data-entry process and created reliable, synchronized data flows.
Building Scalable Institutional Platforms
Contributed to reliable content solutions and accessibility-focused improvements within a large-scale institutional web ecosystem.
How I Think About
Building for the Web
Understand the system, not just the interface.
The frontend is just the surface. True reliability comes from understanding the APIs, CMS behaviors and data pipelines that power it.
Build for the real problem.
Technology should serve the outcome. I prefer finding the right tool for the job over forcing a modern stack into a context where it does not fit.
Learn by building.
I understand technology best by working with it. Building, testing and taking things apart helps me understand what a tool actually does, where it fits and where its limitations are.
Measure before optimizing.
Performance is a system problem. Measure the bottleneck first, understand the environment and then optimize what actually matters.
Avoid unnecessary complexity.
Newer technology is not automatically better. Complexity has a cost and older platforms are not automatically bad. Context is everything.
Experiments.
Markdown Editor
A browser-based Markdown editor I built to explore file APIs, persistence, editor interactions and a more application-like frontend experience.
Rent vs Buy
A financial modeling experiment exploring client-side calculations, persistent URL state and interactive data visualization.
Audio-Reactive Canvas
An experiment in real-time browser graphics, exploring how Web Audio data can drive physics-based Canvas visualizations and generative motion.
Beyond the browser
Photography is one of the ways I slow down, observe and create.
Career
Higher Education
Navigating a complex institutional web ecosystem to build and maintain scalable digital platforms. I focus on establishing reliable content architectures, enforcing rigorous accessibility standards and ensuring frontend experiences perform consistently for diverse audiences.
Youth Sports & Events
Architected automated data flows between external registration systems and HubSpot, utilizing API-based upsert logic to synchronize records. Replaced hours of manual operational work with reliable integrations and built custom frontend marketing assets.
Sports & Entertainment
Engineered scalable frontend systems for high-visibility public web applications. Focused on optimizing rendering paths, managing asset compilation and ensuring robust performance during traffic spikes to support millions of interactions.
